the perfect eskimo roll

What a title, everyone aspires to get that perfect roll , at least in the beginning when it seems so elusive. And then one day it just comes right, without effort. It seems as though you can just roll and roll and roll. And then you call someone to take a photo or a video so you can show your kids or impress your girl, and then look what happens.

Great video. Many could use the Queen of England's rule for rolling: Off with their heads. I don't know why, but it always surprises me to see sea kayakers doing D-D rolls like white water paddlers.

Did you mean C-C, I agree, the sweep roll is a lot more elegant and easier to perform. How do you teach someone to keep their head down[ or off?]

OOps, I did mean C-C. When teaching the sweep, I ask the person to stare at the blade in the water
