It can be a daunting feeling, watching the pounding surf while sitting in your kayak on the shore waiting to launch. From your seat on the sand even the small waves look much more dangerous than they really are.
From a photographers point of view, this is what you want, to capture the moment of a kayak bursting through the surf, flying through the air and cresting the waves. the bigger the waves the better.
All you have to do is get out just beyond the break and wait for the right moment
This morning the surf was so so, nice for some shots but not good enough for surfing.
